These samples are collected for performing the arterial blood gas test. A phlebotomist must thoroughly make sure that any chances of contamination have been fully taken care of by disposing the medical waste in a proper manner. A phlebotomist also handles fecal and urine samples’ labeling. There are certain specific requirements for someone to become a phlebotomist tech.
