The accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Program at California State University – Long Beach, CA consists of 45 hours of in-class coursework and 100 hours of supervised clinical experience training health care professionals to collect blood for laboratory analysis. Clinical training is provided by Hoag Memorial Hospital, Los Alamitos Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital. Successful completion of the program will culminate to a certificate from the University College Extension Services and are eligible to take the national certifying exam offered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
