How long does the Phlebotomy Certification Training Program take?

The phlebotomy program at Alaska Career College provides students with the ability to become nationally certified. The student will be a nationally certified phlebotomy technician upon graduation and will have completed first aid and CPR training, electronic health records training, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and clinicals prior to their graduation.

Most students through this program are able to complete the program on time and most are also able to obtain employment after graduation. The students will learn a minimum of 40 laboratory tests as well as proper procedures for blood taking and handling.
